A theatrical performance exploring weigth stigma
A theatrical performance by Dead Earnest Theatre, in collaboration with Dr Nicola Buckland and Dr Asha Akram from the Department of Psychology, exploring the ways in which weight stigma damages the health and wellbeing of those who experience it.
Through challenging our preconceptions about weight and obesity, the performance aims to help us be more accepting of our own and other’s weight, and to think twice before reinforcing unhelpful stereotypes.
