A talk, followed by a panel discussion and photography exhibition on collective responsibility around our use of AI and data, with panellists from Coventry Council, Netcom and Coventry University,
This event will explore the transformative potential of Data and AI in improving services, raising efficiency, and supporting better decision-making processes. It also highlights, however, the risks of exacerbating existing inequalities if these technologies are not managed inclusively.
Artificial Intelligence: As the popularity of AI continues to skyrocket, how can we ensure that we use it responsibly? What does ethical, inclusive and responsible AI use look like, and how might it benefit communities?
In this talk and panel session, Professor Elena Gaura will explore this question before being joined by local stakeholders and key business representatives for a panel discussion on collective responsibility, how AI might inform the way we work with vulnerable communities, and how we can develop ethical strategies going forward. This will be followed by a small photography exhibition and refreshments.
Data and AI have long been part of public debate, but their increasing integration into all aspects of life raises on the ethical issues. We are all data generators and data consumers, so these issues around Data and AI affect us all. Hundreds of AI products reach the global market daily, and they are trained on data that we generate, so we need to ensure we are all represented.
We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals working in secondary education and further education.
