A 1 hour audio-visual lecture exploring the work of David Bowie. Professor Alex Sharpe will delve into the work of beat-poet William S. Burroughs and his iconic 'cut ups' method of writing, exploring how Burroughs influenced David Bowie lyricism. Professor Sharpe will do this by reflecting on David Bowie's album 'Diamond Dogs' which draws heavily on Burroughs' techniques and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year!
