What’s on offer?

We're hosting an ESRC festival workshop in collaboration with BrightSparks, award winning charity in Arts in Mental Health. The event invites participants to discover creative eco-art activities, enhance their connection with nature, and support their well-being. Led by experienced artists Lydia Towsey and Scott Bridgwood and researcher Dr Fatos Ozkan Erciyas, this event is open to all visitors of Winterbourne House and Garden. Participants will explore nature through art techniques and interact with the researcher and artists while strolling in the garden. Come be a part of our well-being project!

Our project is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of adults and young people by cultivating a deep connection with nature and engaging in creative eco-art activities. We invite you to join us for this workshop that will showcase the activities within our project.

What to Expect:

This hands-on workshop, guided by Lydia Towsey and Scott Bridgwood, artists and Dr Fatos Ozkan Erciyas, the academic running the project, will invite you to the world of sustainable eco-art. The facilitators are well-versed in arts and mental health, and they will lead you through a journey of self-expression and reconnection with nature.

This event is open to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are a seasoned gardener, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the intersection of creativity, nature, and wellbeing, this workshop has something to offer. Join us at the beautiful Winterbourne House and Garden to explore the profound memories of nature, deepen your knowledge of biodiversity, and reflect on the crucial link between nature and mental well-being.
