What’s on offer?

An interactive workshop

What’s it about?

How can social media be used to engage and inform young people about menstruation? In this session, you will have the opportunity to share your views on how menstruation is discussed on social media and what changes you would like to see. Experts in menstruation and related social topics will discuss their work with young people and their successful social media campaigns. They will also offer guidance on how to communicate effectively with young people about menstruation. Finally, you’re invited to join us for an interactive workshop during which you can use the guidance to plan your own campaign.

The event presents new research-based guidance on how to communicate effectively with young people about menstruation on social media (by Dr Maria Tomlinson and Acushla Young). It also includes guest talks by Ruby Raut (CEO of WUKA wear) as well as two members of Ricebox Studios (who create tech for social good).
