What’s it about?

The exhibition features thought-provoking and engaging illustrations based on the stories of LGBTQ+ young people about finding positive communities online. It is aimed at challenging the often negative coverage of LGBTQ+ lives portrayed in mainstream media. The display will showcase the way LGBTQ+ communities use digital spaces to enhance their wellbeing via stories of support, feeling safe, a sense of belonging, as well as having fun and enjoyment. This exhibition will also be on dosplay as part of the University of Southampton's Arts and Humanities Day in the Southampton Cultural Quarter on Saturday 9th November. Visitors are encouraged to leave feedback via postcards at the gallery.
