What’s on offer?

An in-person workshop focusing on those 'left behind' by healthy eating messages. Running from 1pm-3.30pm, with activities and discussions in a welcoming, accessible space to discuss, share and  what inclusive and accessible healthy eating messages look like. Join Dr Helen Jones (Coventry University), community activist Lindsey Scott, community artist Dawn Tiller and dietitian Dr Lucy Aphramor.

What’s it about?

 Increasing awareness of how healthy eating messages exclude many disabled people and are otherwise inappropriate for some groups of people. How can public health policy serve us all better?

 People with lived experience of being excluded or stigmatised by healthy eating messages including some disabled people, neurodivergent people, those with eating disorders and others, plus people with professional interest as healthcare practititioners or policy makers, and personal interest as allies and parents.
