Equity in North West Coast - Come play with us!

My local area theme

What’s on offer?

Come along to play! Join us for a games and quiz session that will offer an interactive way of exploring health equity and inequalities.

Open to young people and adults, discover more about the extent of health inequalities in the North West Coast area, the difference between health inequalities and equity and why it's important. Find out about the role of research in reducing health inequalities and consider whether you would like to get involved in our research.

What’s it about?

Opening with a short talk to set the scene, we will introduce you to our work in health inequalities from colleagues at Lancaster University and across the Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC). We'll also introduce you to a toolkit developed by Lancaster University Department of Health Research

By using playful resources and games we will explore health equity and inequalities, with the activities facilitated by Public Advisers who will talk about health equity generally and health inequalities in the local region specifically. You can also take a look at the further information around the room and take the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences with one of the Public Advisers or researchers who will be on hand to share their knowledge and insights.

Who’s leading the event?

Katerina Panagaki (Senior Research Associate at Department of Health, Lancaster University) is the Lead for Health Equity Mainstreaming in NIHR ARC NWC
