What’s on offer?

Generative AI models that can generate text, images, videos, and sound are becoming more and more widely accessible. The arts community has raised concerns for the impact of such models on their work and their rights in an increasingly automated future.

What’s it about?

Participants will creatively engage and experiment with generative AI models to discuss, collaborate and produce a set of visions and predictions for the impact generative AI will have on your creative fields.

The feedback captured in the workshop will help inform further research on the impact and engagement of the arts in Wales with generative AI.  Parts of the workshop will be recorded and data captured will be used for research purposes.

This event forms part Cardiff University’s events programme for the Festival of Social Science made possible thanks to funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

Who’s leading the event?

Led by the Emerging Technology and Digital Society research group, dedicated to understanding the risks, challenges and opportunities associated with emerging technology and digital society, this event explores the newest iterations of generative AI.
