This 2-hour workshop will explore how online spaces, apps, and digital life contribute to experiences of sexual and reproductive health in Scotland. Participants will start with a 25-minute discussion about technology, social media, and digital/online life and how that intersects with their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing. After a comfort break, a workshop lead will demonstrate how to create a zine and then participants will have 1 hour to create their own. At the end, participants can share their zines and take them home. No previous experience is required.
Have you ever wondered how social media and dating apps impact your wellbeing? Do you use online spaces to explore or connect with people about your sexual and reproductive health? This creative workshop will explore these questions and more through open discussion and creative zine making. You will consider your own experiences of using social media and digital technology in your life and have the opportunity to reflect with others if/how digital technologies might be used and/or changed to improve access to and/or positive experiences of sexual health in your life and in society. You will learn how to create a zine and then have a chance to create your own. You do not need previous experience to attend. Anyone interested in digital technologies, social media, and sexual and reproductive health are welcome to attend.
