What’s on offer?

An engaging 90-minute interactive workshop where we investigate how our jobs impact well-being through work psychology. The session kicks off with a 10-minute introduction, followed by participants breaking into small groups (5-6 people) to discuss a set of key questions, leading into a lively general discussion. After a short coffee break (10 minutes), the presenters will provide feedback on the group discussions (10 minutes). Finally, the workshop wraps up with a 20-minute guide on how to protect ourselves from misinformation about work psychology, leaving you with practical insights to enhance your work-life balance. A light lunch (tea/coffee and sandwiches) will be provided at the end of the workshop.

What’s it about?

In this interactive workshop, we will investigate together why and when our jobs might be killing us, engaging the methods of Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple to ‘separate the wheat from the chaff’ when it comes to advice in the media. Drawing from real-life examples and work psychology research, participants will engage in small group discussions, reflecting on key questions such as: Am I working too much? Why do I always feel like I don’t have enough time? How can I tell my boss I’ve got too much on my plate?

Whether you're an employee facing job stress or a manager looking to improve team well-being, this workshop offers valuable takeaways to help you navigate the complexities of workplace pressures. Expect interactive discussions, real-life examples, and practical tips to help you navigate the sea of media gurus and pop advice.
