What’s on offer?

The event shall be an in-person event to engage with targeted stakeholders. Invited speakers will provide a sharing about the existing participatory design initiatives in the UK, Netherlands and Norway. Participants will be to participate in a card game/hands-on workshop to identify their needs and expectations towards co-create and co-design a sustainable and resilient built environment. Presentations will be made thereafter to discuss the findings of the card game/hands-on workshop.

What’s it about?

The event will address the following questions:

Examine the current participatory design initiatives  

Evaluate actions of vulnerable communities in response to climate change risks 

Explore how digital solutions can empower vulnerable communities in co-creation and co-design a more sustainable living environment

The event is open to policy makers, local authorities, municipalities, industry stakeholders, construction professionals and non-profit organisations who have a level of prior experience or knowledge in participatory design, public engagement in urban planning, and sustainability transition in the built environment.

The event is of particular interest to those who seek to improve the awareness and knowledge of participatory design in sustainability transition within the context of built environment, neighbourhood and cities. Participants can voice out their ideas to co-create and co-design a sustainable place to live, work and play.
