About this event

How do we deal with the growing problem of plastic pollution?

The world is reaching breaking point. Experts predict plastic pollution could reach 1.3 billion tonnes by 2040 – and it’s the next generation that will inherit this disaster.

But it’s not too late to make a change.

If you’re passionate about the environment, we want to hear from you! We’re calling on under 16s to create a poster for our competition. Your design should identify a plastic-related problem and pose a solution to that problem.

Your design can be linked to climate action, ecosystems on-land or water or how plastics are made, sold, used and disposed of. You can use the template attached or create your own, with drawings, photographs or words - it's up to you!

The best designs will win a £20 Waterstones voucher, and will feature on our website and twitter.

HOW TO ENTER

Fill out the form and upload your design and a photograph of yourself if you have your parent or guardian's permission to:

www.birmingham.ac.uk/plastic-pollution

before Friday 4th December. The winners will be chosen in December

Good luck!
