Bring your questions and ideas—whether about food, education, or other social issues. This is your chance to learn, contribute, and get involved in research that makes a difference in all areas of life.
We can't wait to meet you and work together to create research that truly impacts communities!
The interactive workshop is for both academics and non-academics members of the public and delivered in collaboration with a community project Love Food CIC, specialising in community research engagement and food insecurity. Academics who are strong promoters of public engagement in research will demonstrate how it is possible to interweave these often separate areas (research and public engagement). Additionally, a website, "Rebel Researchers" will be created and it will serve as a platform for academics to share their research in accessible formats and for non-academics to write about real-world issues often overlooked in academia. The platform will connect the public with academics, enabling better participatory research partnerships and collaborations.
Dr Fatma Sabet and Dr Kristi Dingwall, Research Fellow at the University of Exeter in collaboration with Love Food CIC
Open to anyone over 16 years old
The event is suitable for both academics and non-academics members of the public, including university students on the ethics and practices of genuine engaged research.
