Shut your MANTRaP! Understanding the spread and influence of online misogyny and The Red Pill

Our digital lives theme

What’s on offer?

Workshop sessions for KS4 teenagers and teachers within a school setting exploring the language of the manosphere and networked online misogyny

What’s it about?

This workshop for schools will discuss the language of the manosphere (networked online misogyny), including language associated with infamous online figures such as Andrew Tate, in a classroom environment. Your KS4 students will have the opportunity to participate in a live anonymous survey about their engagement with this content, we will share insights from our work about the features of manosphere language, and we will discuss how to resist and challenge manosphere beliefs. As teachers, you will also have access to a suite of novel resources online and in hard copy to aid in safeguarding efforts on this topic following the session.
