Toddlers, Tech and Talk

Toddlers, Tech ad Talk (TTT) Project

dad and children

Our digital lives theme

What’s on offer?

The project has shown that many families have lots of different types of digital devices in their homes, that parents use digital technology with their children to learn, play and connect with other family members and that also children sometimes use them on their own. It has also shown that parents are also concerned about getting the right balance in terms of how often and for how long children should use digital technology, for what reasons and how to protect them against harmful content.

What’s it about?

We are inviting parents to hear more about the research and to explore their views about the type of resource (guidelines, Top Tips, for example) that will help you as parents (and other parents) support children’s positive and safe use of digital technology.  The TTT is a project that has been finding out what digital devices are found in homes across the UK, and how they are used by young children aged 0-3 years and their families.

Who’s leading the event?

Members of the project team from Queen’s University Belfast and University of Strathclyde, Glasgow will be there. For more information, please email Karen on k.winter@qub.ac.uk
