What’s on offer?

The event will be hybrid in nature, running in-person, and on the CHSS metaverse platform.

The hybrid event will begin with a short introduction to CHSS (15 minutes), followed by a presentation on the research collaboration between CHSS and Univesity of Strathclyde, providing an insight to the metaverse and how it was created (30 minutes). Participants will then have the opportunity to experience the CHSS metaverse through an immersive device. There will also be opportunities to network during this time (90 minutes). We will finish with a short panel discussion with audience Q&A (30 minutes).

What’s it about?

This event introduces CHSS stakeholders to one of the first charity metaverse spaces, unveiling a beta version of the CHSS metaverse, developed in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde. The event offers CHSS employees, volunteers, and charity sector workers an opportunity to explore and interact with this innovative virtual environment. By providing a hands-on experience, the event aims to demystify the metaverse, making it approachable and user-friendly while guiding attendees through its various features. The event will also feature interactive activities, presentations on the collaboration between CHSS and Strathclyde, and detailed discussions on the metaverse's creation and development. Attendees will have the chance to interact with the CHSS and Strathclyde project team, explore exhibits from CHSS, Strathclyde, and FoSS, and hear from guest speakers.

Overall, this event is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience with cutting-edge technology, connect with experts, and contribute to shaping the future of the CHSS metaverse.
