A 1-hour workshop for children and young people with Suad Duale, a Somali community activist and psychotherapist, about the meaning of home.
As a refugee herself, Suad has experienced first hand what it is to lose your home and to rebuild it. Now a psychologist and researcher, Suad has worked with a team of anthropologists and geographers at SOAS and QMUL to explore what Suad will run a series of creative activities that discuss what it is to be displaced from home, and to rebuild it. it is to build a home in the UK, especially when you have come from situations of war and displacement. In this workshop, Suad will run a series of creative activities that discuss what it is to be displaced from home, to rebuild it, and to imagine a future home.
