This event will invite young people to discuss how youth work provision can link with or relate to their digital lives, and whether there are areas where young people would welcome more engagement.
Youth work in County Durham varies from location to location, due to the different communities and landscapes within the county. The YouthPrint infrastructure model recognises this and uses 'anchor organisations' across five areas to support organisations to work with young people. The COVID-19 pandemic changed how many organisations interacted with service users and people engaged with organisations and services in new ways. Young people's use of mobile technologies is often seen as problematic and as something which needs to change.
This event will explore all of these issues to better understand how youth work organisations can support young people's digital lives in different parts of County Durham
