Accessibility to music for deaf people’s wellbeing: Talk and BSL Workshop

What’s on offer?

Learn the importance of accessibility to music, and how music can be translated into British Sign Language (BSL). 

This workshop will give an insight into the role of music in the life of a profoundly deaf musician followed by an interactive session on how to sign songs.  

Who’s leading the event?

Paul Whittaker, OBE. The event will be coordinated remotely by myself, researcher in MLANG, and will be facilitated by Brett Robinson: opera singer, translator, and PhD candidate at the University of Manchester.
