What's on offer?

Join the Durham University Infancy & Sleep Centre team for an informative session on our latest research about baby carrying safety. Whether you're a parent or practitioner, this event is your chance to contribute to discussion about new guidance, hear our recommendations, and share your experience. We will be joined by representatives of Lullaby Trust and Carrying Matters. 150 online places and 25 in-person (with free lunch) at Radisson Blu, Durham

What's it about?

In partnership with the Lullaby Trust this event will focus on the safe use of slings and baby carriers with babies under 6-months, particularly for feeding and sleeping. The Durham Infancy & Sleep Centre Team will share the findings of our research into knowledge about and use of slings and carriers among UK parents. Lullaby Trust will share their new guidance informed by the DISC research on sleep safety for young infants in slings and carriers. Members of the public and practitioners working with new parents will be invited to a Q&A about the research findings and the new guidance.
