How to achieve a healthy and sustainable diet in our complex working lives
Date & time
31 October - 2 November 2025 | 11.00-16.00

What's on offer?
Come along to our stand in the Research Arcade at the Millennium Gallery to explore evidence-based, realistic steps you can take to improve the healthiness and sustainability of your diet. We have a range of resources you can take away, and you can ask questions to our food and nutrition academics and professionals!
What's it about?
There are increasing pressures to consume a healthier and more sustainable diet, but now more than ever there is confusion around what healthy and sustainable involve. This is, in part, due to misrepresentation of these in popular media and on social media platforms. The event will provide an opportunity for you to explore easy steps you can take to improve your diet. The event will explore 'real' food versus reality, green eating and sustainability credentials, and what to do with surplus food. You can also ask our food and nutrition experts any questions and identify practical strategies for improving dietary intake to be healthier and more sustainable.
Who's leading the event?
The event is delivered by the SHUFood Research Cluster at Sheffield Hallam University, and led by Dr Jordan D. Beaumont.
