What's it about?
This event brings to life the voices of Adivasi communities in India, exploring how cultural heritage, traditional practices and collective resistance are central to their working lives. At the heart of the session is a short documentary film, followed by open discussion and Q&A.
Through personal stories and visual ethnography, the film highlights how Adivasi communities navigate culture as both work and livelihood, the challenges that threaten these practices, and the creative strategies people use to sustain identity in a rapidly changing world.
Attendees will experience an immersive screening that foregrounds Adivasi voices, rather than outsider interpretations. The film and discussion open up wider debates on identity, sustainability and inclusion, while encouraging reflection on the value of indigenous knowledge in shaping global futures.
