St Dennis Community Museum and Archive in a Filing Cabinet!

What’s on offer?

Claytawc Community Centre, St Denys Old Cornwall Society, the Institute of Cornish Studies, and the St Dennis Memory Cafe Hub are developing a new community archive and museum to be housed in a filing cabinet in Claytawc.  Over the period of 21st October – 17th November we will be inviting individuals and groups in St Dennis to contribute something to the archive, to be made publicly accessible in our community museum (remember, it must be able to fit into a filing cabinet!)

On 17th November 10 – 2, we will launch the archive, with a programme of talks about the exhibits that we have gathered, and decide how to decorate the filing cabinet.  Refreshments and a pasty lunch provided.

Who’s leading the event?

The event will be lead by Professor Joanie Willett who is a Professor of Politics at the University of Exeter.  Joanie's research focusses on the entangled relationship between people, how they organise into communities, and the landscape that they are situated in (geography, geology, and ecology).
