What's on offer?

Discover powerful stories of survival, strength, and hope at this unique exhibition led by Dr Emily Finch (University of Surrey) in partnership with Kaleidoscopic UK.

Visitors can explore the real and lasting impact of domestic abuse through a range of powerful and thought-provoking experiences. It shines a light on the emotional, practical, and system-based barriers that can make leaving an abusive relationship so difficult.

Through art, poetry, audio, video, and live performances, you’ll experience how people who have lived through abusive relationships want to be seen, heard, believed, understood and supported, and hear about the research at the University of Surrey that is helping their cause.

What's it about?

Each space invites you to see, hear, and reflect on the emotional, practical, and system-based challenges that survivors face and how we can all play a part in offering meaningful support.

This safe and welcoming space has been shaped by survivors, ensuring their voices are heard on their own terms. Quiet areas and trained trauma-support professionals will be available throughout.

By challenging assumptions, sparking new perspectives and inspiring action, the exhibition encourages visitors to consider how we can all play a part in building stronger, more compassionate support for those affected by domestic abuse.

Whether you come to listen, learn, or share your thoughts, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what it means to survive, and how together we can build a more supportive world.
