What's on offer?

Upcycling & Repair Activities

  • Screen Printing for Clothing: Screen printing on garments using pre-made designs created for the event.
  • Visible mending : Creative fixes for holes or worn areas, from patchwork repairs to cross-stitch embroidery.
  • Alterations + Up-cycling: Change the size or style of a garments, or make a completely new one!

The designers at each station will guide you through simple yet impactful upcycling techniques - no prior sewing experience needed.

Panel Talks & Discussions

A live conversation with independent designers and local creative studios. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Social & Networking

The evening will also feature music, bar service* and chilled out atmosphere where you can meet likeminded creatives!

Join us for The Making Room Fair – an evening dedicated to a solution-focused approach to clothing and sustainable fashion. This event combines hands-on repair and up-cycling stations, live talks and Q&A sessions, and a relaxed social atmosphere with drinks, music and networking.

Whether you want to (re)make something, watch live panels and Q+A, or simply enjoy meeting likeminded creatives, this fair is all about celebrating the value of up cycling, repairing, and reimagining fashion!
