What’s it about?

Sheffield is home to one of the world's leading research centres for public health research on alcohol - the Sheffield Alcohol Research Group (SARG). The centre's research plays a central role in current policy and public debate, and provides a key evidence base for debates around drinking guidelines.

Pop down to the Moor Market where researchers from the centre will be running an interactive activity stand exploring the impacts of alcohol consumption and gambling on health and wellbeing. Try your hand at pouring a one unit drink, go on a virtual night-out, and put your knowledge to the test with a quickfire quiz.

Open to all, no booking necessary.

Who’s leading the event?

Dr Parvati Perman-Howe, Research Associate, School of Medicine and Population Health at University of Sheffield
