Widgit Symbols for Enhancing Inclusive Primary Education

A two-hour interactive session (16:00–18:00) at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Devonport, Plymouth. The event will provide hands-on experience with Widgit tools and showcase best practices for supporting accessibility and engagement in the classroom.

This event focuses on creating inclusive primary education spaces using Widgit symbols. Participants will explore practical strategies to improve communication, learning support, and accessibility for all pupils, with insights from research and practice.

Guest speakers from the University of Gothenburg and the University of Plymouth.

Open to educators, practitioners, and others interested in inclusive education.

Of particular interest to primary school teachers, SENCOs, teaching assistants, and education professionals working with children who benefit from visual communication support.
