What's on offer?

This is a 2 hour participatory, in-person workshop where attendees will create ‘found’ poetry and mono-prints inspired by their experiences and memories of community organising and activism, in any form. The event will blend personal reflection with artistic expression, encouraging participants to explore their memories of activism, community, and organising.

No experience of print-making or poetry is required, all materials are provided, although attendees will be invited to bring their own photos and objects along as inspiration.

What's it about?

This event brings is a creative exploration of community organising, narratives and legacies of the miner’s strike, post-industrial communities, and women’s organising. Together we will explore these themes through creative activities, offering a powerful platform for storytelling in diverse and accessible ways.

The workshop will offer a collaborative and meaningful exploration these themes, with women in the local community.

The event will spark meaningful conversations, foster solidarity, and inspire action. In this creative environment memories will be shared, connections deepened, and attendees will be able to their emotions—whether joy, anger, or hope—into artistic expression.
