What's on offer?

Join Chata the golden retriever for a fun, hands-on family workshop exploring the lives of working animals and what it means to work, care and live together. Designed for children aged 5-13 (and their adults!), this interactive session includes Q&A, storytelling, drawing and imagining what kind of worker Chata might be at the People’s History Museum. Discover how animals contribute to human lives - from therapy dogs and guide animals to mascots and companions - and explore fairness, value and inclusion in playful, creative ways.

A dogs-eye view of work inspired by academic research at Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester.

Dr. Helen Wadham at Manchester Metropolitan University and Dr. Maisie Tomlinson at The University of Manchester.
