What's on offer?

Come and make a zine about what you think good employment and the workplace should look like for everyone. This is a free, relaxed, creative drop-in workshop. You can draw, write, cut, stick and share ideas about what makes work good and accessible. You do not need to be good at art or writing, and there is no pressure to talk about your own experiences.

The workshop is especially designed for people with disabilities, learning disabilities and autistic people. Family members, supporters and other people interested in fair and inclusive work are also welcome. You can join in as much or as little as you want.

Ideas and projects made at the event will help us create a shared Good Work for All zine after the workshop.

What's it about?

Everyone should have the chance to do good work, however, people with disabilities, learning disabilities and those who are autistic do not always get the same chances.

Finding a job can be difficult. Some jobs are not accessible. People can face low expectations, insecure work and worries about money. We want to think about how this can change. For us, good work means work that is fair, paid, secure, accessible and supported. Good work can help people feel confident, independent and included.

At this workshop, we will use zine-making to explore what good work could look like. You can use pictures, drawing, collage or writing to share your ideas. Your ideas can help show employers, support organisations and other people what needs to change. Together, we want to imagine a future where everyone has a fair chance to work and contribute.
