What's on offer?
Presentations and pop-up stalls to showcase the research from Centre for Peace and Security academics in partnership with Coventry City Council’s migration team and their work on the pilot scheme Health Access for Refugees and Asylum Seekers Programme (HARP).
What's it about?
This joint event betwee Coventry University and Coventry Council will showcase research conducted by the teams, raising awareness of the healthcare barriers that refugees and asylum seekers face, and some of the successful interventions the pilot has found.
This is in the hope that other RAS and healthcare services in Coventry, beyond the limited partners involved in the project, can see how they can work to minimise access to health care for their clients, using the results of the evaluative research conducted alongside the project. T
This event will feature presentations and pop-up stalls for practitioners to walk around and see each other’s work, offering a valuable networking and knowledge sharing opportunity. The research found that these opportunities are important but lacking in the current busy schedules of RAS and healthcare practitioners.
