What's on offer?

Dr Joanna Burch-Brown has supported The Barton Hill History Group and the Women that made Barton Hill (WTMBH) project which as led to the publication of a book Hilda Jennings An advocate for the disadvantaged. It has been an honour and a privilege to uncover Hilda’s incredible life story. There will also be the installation of a plaque as a lasting tribute to her as a pioneer, bringing about positive change for the Barton Hill community.

What's it about?

The event will be at the Arts and Crafts Cottage at the Wellspring Settlement, Ducie Road Barton Hill, where Hilda lived and worked on her book Societies in the Making. Members of the wider Jennings family will be there to help celebrate the dedicated and lifelong work of Hilda Jennings on Tuesday October 21 2025 from 1pm.
