What's on offer?

The workshop will start with a brief overview of the findings from the research and what we did, then the participants will be asked to discuss and give feedback on the actionable insights developed based on the research and in collaboration with Newcastle City Council. Residents will be distributed in tables and moderated by one of the co-organisers (details below) will be able to comment on the results of the reports and their recommendations. These views will be collected by the moderator.

We will have staff from Newcastle City Council there demonstrating the use of the food collection bins, and we will serve light refreshments and snacks during the event.

What's it about?

The event aims to give a preview of the results of a consultation exercise aiming to gather ‘Residents attitudes and views to food waste collection’ co-produced with Newcastle City Council and Insights North East. At the event, participants will be encouraged to offer their views and feedback on the actionable insights emerging from the consultations we carried out. The feedback will be collected and contribute to the ongoing research and discussions with Newcastle City Council informing their food waste reduction and collection policies.
