What's on offer?
Join us for a powerful and interactive exhibition and celebration of creativity, voice, and history, curated by Black heritage youth in SW UK.
There will be a special launch event for young people and their families, before opening doors to the wider public on the 8th of November. Don’t miss this chance to see, listen, and engage with the voices of the next generation. You can follow us on Instagram for more updates: @b_hugsorg
What's it about?
This unique event brings to life the enquiries, collaborative visual art and multimedia works created as part of a youth-centred research programme. An exhibit will include two large-scale canvases—Where Words Fail Music Speaks and In the Spirit of Queen Moremi Ajasoro—collaborative pieces produced through workshops with Exeter high school students and local Black artist Jedidah Chick, exploring the theme Reclaiming Black History.
Alongside these works, visitors can experience an inspiring collection of creative pieces in different media by young people from across the South West and a host of activities designed to provide opportunities to contribute to the conversation in creative ways.
Who's leading the event?
