What's on offer?

A showcase event in a care home. This will be a talk led by Emily and interactive creative activities led by creative practitioners. The event will last around 90 minutes and will introduce care home staff to the concept of creative health and give practical guidance on how they can embed creative activities into everyday care. With permission, elements of the showcase will be recorded for inclusion in a film about the project. The film will be circulated on completion as an additional impact activity.

What's it about?

This showcase offers an engaging introduction to creative health and the powerful role that creativity can play in enhancing wellbeing in care homes. Attendees will learn how creative activities can support residents' quality of life, strengthen relationships, and contribute to staff wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Drawing on insights from a recent project exploring how creativity can be embedded into everyday care home practice, the session will share practical ideas and real-world examples, and introduce a toolkit of resources that participants can adapt for their own settings. The focus is on simple, sustainable approaches that fit naturally into daily routines, rather than adding to workload.

The event will also include a hands-on creative activity led by creative practitioners, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the benefits of creative engagement for themselves in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of creative health, increased confidence in using creative approaches in their work, and practical tools to help enrich the lives of residents and staff alike.
