What's it about?
This interactive event explores the financial realities facing young people today and how wider social, economic, and policy factors shape financial wellbeing. Through discussions, case studies, and activities, participants will examine key issues such as the rising cost of living, debt, financial decision-making, and access to support.
Bringing together researchers, policymakers, charities, and practitioners, the event will provide opportunities to learn from both expert insights and lived experiences. Participants will gain practical knowledge to help them navigate financial challenges, develop confidence in managing their finances, and better understand the systems and services available to support them.
The event will also encourage open dialogue about the barriers young people face and how policies and services can be improved to create fairer financial futures. By attending, participants will have the chance to share their perspectives, contribute to ongoing social science research, and help inform more inclusive and responsive approaches to financial wellbeing.
