What's on offer?
Skills development has a range of benefits, both social and economic (UK Parliament, 2024). There are evidences that suggest that interest in entrepreneurship is rising amongst younger people (Enterprise Nation, 2025). Research evidence on the impact of enterprise and entrepreneurship education suggests that entrepreneurial skills development through enterprise and entrepreneurship education pedagogical interventions can enhance both employability, but also increase skills, knowledge and attitudes towards venture creation, graduate startups and overall job creation, and social capital or self-efficacy (Carpenter and Wilson, 2022; Cui and Bell, 2022; Maragh, 2024).
What's it about?
In this session aimed at educators, we will explore why entrepreneurship and enterprise education are important, as well as how to design pedagogical interventions that would support entrepreneurial skills development. We will do a range of practical activities that will support you incorporating entrepreneurial skills in your classroom, regardless of the subject area that you are teaching.
