The Forgiveness Cafe
Date & time

What's on offer?
Inspired by hugely successful 'Death Cafes', this event is designed to explore forgiving and not forgiving in the workplace in a creative, participatory and inclusive environments. Two 2-hour sessions will be held with a reflective break of 20 minutes led by two professional facilitators. The events offer communal discussion-based spaces in which participants can draw on lived experience and engage in in-depth, meaningful dialogues.
What's it about?
How can people respond to conflicts and hurts in their lives? Lives are lived in relationships and living in relationships makes us vulnerable to hurt. This is especially true of working environments, where personal relationships and professional pressures blur. This event reveals how complex experiences of forgiving and not forgiving provide languages through which people make sense of and move on from hurts done to them. A prominent theme the research that forms the basis of this event is the ongoing pains arising in working lives, from bullying to sexism and feeling cheated.
