What's on offer?

Using historical maps and collections alongside contemporary data, we will explore questions around poverty, inequality, housing, health and the cost of living across Greater Manchester.

You will be invited to share your own perceptions, respond to questions, explore maps and visualisations, and compare what we think we know about our communities with what historical and contemporary evidence can tell us.

What's it about?

Exploring Greater Manchester through data, history and community.

Join us at the John Rylands Library for an interactive event exploring how data, history and community knowledge can help us better understand the places where we live.

No specialist knowledge of data or statistics is needed.

Dr Tatjana Kecojevic, Senior Lecturer at the Cathie Marsh Institute for Social Research, University of Manchester
