What's on offer?

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a photovoice exhibition featuring photographs and personal narratives created by people with lived experience of the UK asylum system. The exhibition provides a powerful, first-hand perspective on life after asylum and the social, economic, and emotional challenges that can accompany it. The opening event will involve talks from the project organiser, Dr Jo Biglin and personal narratives from participants, as well as food and entertainment.

What's it about?

This event will showcase a co-created photovoice exhibition developed in collaboration with people with lived experience of the UK asylum system. Through photography and personal narratives, the exhibition explores life after being granted asylum, including themes of identity, wellbeing, barriers and marginalisation, survival and rebuilding.
