What's on offer?

Step up to our interactive stand and try the Fantasy Job Finder. Choose from our creative prompts to find out what your potential future job could be. Alongside the fun, find out about the research behind the game and how AI is transforming the world of work. Share your opinions about using AI in your work on the “Wall of Future Jobs” and spark a festival-wide conversation.

What's it about?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we live, learn and work, and Generative AI (GenAI) - the generative branch of AI - is at the forefront of that change. While headlines often focus on fears of job losses or hype about new opportunities, the reality is more complex. Our research, including recent studies at Hertfordshire Business School, explores how AI is reshaping the labour market: which roles might evolve, which could disappear, and which new ones could emerge. The Fantasy Job Finder stand turns this research into an accessible, hands-on experience.

The aim isn’t just to entertain – it’s to encourage curiosity, prompt questions, and spark conversations about how technology might influence the jobs we and our children do in years to come. We’ll also be on hand to share insights from our work on AI’s potential benefits and challenges, from increased efficiency to the need for ethical safeguards. By taking part, you’re helping us gather perspectives from people of all ages and backgrounds – voices that are essential for shaping a future of work that is fair, inclusive, and informed by the community it serves.
