The invisible juggle: Autistic women and the realities of working life
Date & time
30 October - 1 November 2025 | 11.00-16.00
What's on offer?
Explore the University of Hertfordshire research on the workplace experiences of autistic women by stepping into a neurodiversity-friendly office environment. You can find out more about inclusive employment through our partner, 1Stop training.
What's it about?
Many workplaces are not designed with neurodiversity in mind, and autistic women often face unique challenges when navigating jobs and careers. University of Hertfordshire research has explored these experiences, highlighting both the barriers and the strategies that help autistic women thrive at work. Come along to the “Meet the Researcher” session to hear directly about the research findings, ask questions, and share your own experiences.
Even when the stand isn’t manned, you can take part in our “Workplace Wish Wall”, a creative and interactive activity where you can pin your ideas about how workplaces could better support autistic women. Every contribution helps the researchers understand public perspectives and informs future work on inclusive employment. This stand is a chance to learn, reflect, and engage with real-world research, offering both practical insights and a platform to share your thoughts on making work better for everyone.
